THE PROJECTS

2019

Hut Project Launched

Lovers of all shelters it made sense for us to help fund restoration work on the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Walking Huts as a starting point.

Our first Hut Restoration project was funding restoration work on Bullocks Hut, located within the Kosciuszko National Park. Some places are so remarkable, they seem tailor made for the pages of history books. Bullocks Hut, not far from Jindabyne and Thredbo in Kosciuszko National Park, is just such a place.

All funds raised cover essential building materials required for restoration of the hut, and in terms of the actual physical restoration work, we decided to leave that to the existing teams from the Kosciuszko Huts Association (KHA), as these restorations need specific skills to ensure they are kept as true to their original form as possible.

2021

Sweetie Band Fundraiser

The community was screaming out for a good old fashion street party, so we called on our mates from the Sweetie Band who came, rocked and helped us raise some serious coin. Held at our flagship Newport store, the event had everyone dancing, laughing, connecting and sharing a deep love for our National Parks. It was a day full of community spirit, where the joy and energy were palpable. Through raffles and generous donations, we successfully raised $3,500.

This event highlighted our commitment to conservation and showcased the power of community involvement in supporting our National Parks and wildlife. We're grateful for the support and look forward to more impactful local community events in the future.

2022

Wild for Wilderness Hike

In 2022, we embarked on an unforgettable journey, hiking to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko with possibly the best bunch of humans alive. There were 35 adventurers, all with the mission to raise funds for our National Parks.

We did have to reroute the hike at the last minute due to snow on the mountains, YES it was November in Australia and we had Snow and Sun – couldn’t have asked for better conditions really, once in a lifetime kid of feels that day!

Right from the moment we woke the day was filled with laughter, breathtaking views, and a profound sense of purpose. Reaching the summit was celebrated with such camaraderie, not just because of the physical achievement but because we knew our efforts would have a lasting impact. The hike culminated in one epic celebration of our collective effort to support conservation, with everyone feeling a deep connection to the cause.

Together, we successfully raised $18,000, a significant contribution that will go a long way in restoring and preserving our cherished huts in the National Parks. This hike was a true testament to the power of community and collective action, and a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when passionate people come together for a common cause. Forever humbled for the support and enthusiasm from everyone involved. Bring on October 2024!

2023

WILD for WILDERNESS Inaugural Event

In its essence, the inaugural ‘Wild for Wilderness’ in 2023 set out to be a one-of-a-kind cause related van and camp life event that integrated nature, adventure, film, and music into two days of good times at Glenworth Valley.

We rallied like-minded thinkers and partners to immerse themselves in nature with the main objective to raise awareness and funds for our National Parks. And that we did, raising over $30K for our ‘Growing Parks’ scheme, aimed at driving acquisition to expand land surrounding Australia’s National Parks. Overview here.

What we also created was a truly unforgettable, awe-inspiring weekend, a place where Creators, Thinkers, and Consciously Adventurous folk came together for the land.
